Getting to and around Southeast Alaska is easier than you might think. While it is true, there are no roads linking the coastal communities, the Inside Passage region is served by two major air carriers, Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines, and the iconic Alaska Marine Highway ferry system. While many visitors will arrive by cruise ship, the independent traveler can explore the region with ease using a combination of ferries, jet service, or small commuter carriers.
